Index — Counties
The same appliances in four different sets of conditions. Start with the county you are in.

Duval
Jacksonville and the beaches. The widest spread of housing stock on the First Coast, from 1910s Riverside kitchens to Deerwood and Glen Kernan new-build.
St. Johns
Ponte Vedra, Nocatee, World Golf Village and St. Augustine. Mostly post-2000 construction, and the densest concentration of built-in and professional equipment in the region.
Clay
Orange Park, Fleming Island and Oakleaf. Later construction and the easiest appliance access we get anywhere, which moves the diagnosis to airflow and electronics.
Nassau
Amelia Island, Fernandina Beach, Yulee and Callahan. Barrier-island salt air, and the longest scheduled drives in our coverage area.
01 What differs
A fault list is the same in all four counties. The order we work through it is not, and the reason is almost always the building and the environment rather than the appliance.
| County | Seat | What sets the diagnosis here |
|---|---|---|
| Duval County | Jacksonville | Three service problems in one county: pre-war openings, barrier-island corrosion, and newer kitchens where access is the only constraint. |
| St. Johns County | St. Augustine | Board-dense kitchens with many appliances on one service, plus an oceanfront strip and the county’s only genuinely old housing downtown. |
| Clay County | Green Cove Springs | Condenser airflow and control electronics. Little pre-war stock, no coastline, and cabinetry drawn around the appliance rather than the reverse. |
| Nassau County | Fernandina Beach | Salt-air corrosion on the island, older housing in Fernandina, and drive time long enough that the county is scheduled in blocks. |
Across the whole coverage area that comes to 19 ZIP codes. 6 are oceanfront or barrier-island, where corrosion reaches the condenser before anything internal fails. 6 hold pre-war housing, where the cabinet opening and the electrical panel decide what can be fitted or taken out — and one ZIP, coastal St. Augustine, carries both at once. The remaining 9 are later construction, where cabinetry was drawn around the equipment and the diagnosis starts at the machine.

“Salt air” marks the barrier-island and oceanfront ZIPs, where corrosion reaches condenser fins, hinge pins and fasteners before anything internal fails. “Pre-war kitchens” marks the 1900s–1930s housing belt, where the cabinet opening and the electrical panel decide what can be fitted or removed. Everywhere else, access is ordinary and the diagnosis starts at the appliance.
